Applications for H2
MBR is a manufacturing integrator who builds hydrogen-based systems around the Enapter AEM electrolyser module. These are used for applications such as on-site H2 production for manufacturing, as load dumping applications for utilities, as hydrogen refuelling stations and when used in combination with fuel cells, as power system for remote off-grid community applications.
- Onsite H2 production for community power (off-grid or islanded systems).
- As a replacement for specific diesel generator user markets (e.g., telecoms).
- 2 for Gas blending projects (e.g., Malaysia Semarak project, DOE in Singapore).
- H2 for feed stock (e.g., Ammonia producers).
- H2 for heat as an alternative to NG (e.g. DOE Singapore).
- H2 to address “curtailment” issues (PV, Hydro, Geothermal power plants).
- Light & Heavy Transportation refuelling applications (Forklifts, Trucks, Bus’s & Trains).

Many of the orders received in the sectors above are being funded as ‘pilot projects’ where the initial cost is not necessarily a factor but more the ‘safety concerns’ that can be best addressed by having these systems built in Germany, particularly for compliance issues (CE certification and TUV practices etc).
However, actual rollout of large deployments of green hydrogen solutions will only be possible if the economies of ‘ownership cost’ can match the business case. This can only be achieved through local production, installation, and support of complete systems. Local production significantly reduces costs and delivery times for our global customers.
